Color InfoCopy color values to clipboardTo copy the color values to the clipboard, hover over the color value and press it as if it were a button.Back to Top Change format of color valuesUsers can change the format of color values by right clicking on the labels. So instead of having the color value #454545, right-clicking the label would change it to 454545, and a color value of rgb(21,32,43) would change to RGB(21,32,43) when right-clicked.Back to Top Shorthand HexOptimize your website by using shorthand css values whenever possible. To enable this option, go to Preferences and check "Use shorthand hex whenever possible" under the "Color Formats" tab. You can also choose to use shorthand hex values for websafe colors. Every websafe color can be written as a shorthand value, so you can right-click a websafe label until it shows the shorthand hex format.Back to Top Drag -n- DropDragging colors from the colorwells to text will print out the color value of that color in the format chosen in the Preferences. Color value text can also be dragged onto colorwells to change their color. Color value text can also be dragged to the palette in the main window or global window to quickly add a color to the palette.Back to Top Favorites TableAdd a favorite itemTo save the current colors in the main palette, click the "+" button on the bottom left of the window or press the keyboard shortcut, option+command+N (⌥⌘N). The favorite item is named "untitled" by default and can be changed by double-clicking the item.Back to Top Add a group itemTo add a group item click on the action button to the right of the "+" button and click New Group. A folder will be added to the favorites table with the default name "untitled". The keyboard shortcut for adding a new group is option+command+G (⌥⌘G).Back to Top Preview a favorite itemTo quickly see the colors inside a favorite item, open the preview drawer by clicking on the action button to the right of the "+" button and selecting Toggle favorite preview drawer. The keyboard shortcut for toggling the preview drawer is ⌘T.Back to Top Open a favorite itemTo send the colors of a favorite item to the main palette, select the item and press ⌘] or right-click the item and select Use selected item.Back to Top Update/replace a favorite itemTo update or replace a favorite item, select the item to be updated or replaced and press ⌘[ or right-click the item and select Replace selected item with main palette. The current colors in the main palette will replace the current colors in the favorite item.Back to Top Hex ToolEnter a single hex valueUse the top text field to enter a single hex value. When the hex string is entered in the text field, press enter.Back to Top Enter multiple hex valuesTo enter multiple hex values at a time, use the "Multiple" text field. Enter hex values separated by punctuation marks, symbols, spaces, and/or new lines. After everything is entered, use the pulldown menu beneath the text field to send the values to the main palette.Back to Top Magnify ToolCapture screen in magnify viewHover your mouse over the part of the screen you want to capture. Press control+option+command+L (⌃⌥⌘L) simultaneously to capture the portion of the screen. When it is locked, drag any of the colors to the main palette. If you can't remember the key combination to capture the screen, just look at the menubar under Tools > Lock magnify image.Back to Top Locked colorsThe locked colors box displays 30 colors that are locked in the magnify view. This allows the user to quickly send colors in a portion of the screen to the main palette.Back to Top Hide when applictation is inactiveIf you don't want the magnify tool to float above other applications when iPalette Pro is inactive, check the box at the bottom of the magnify window that says Hide when applictation is inactive.Back to Top Image ToolOpen an imageTo open an image in the image tool, click the action button on the bottom right of the tool inspector window and select Open.... Navigate to the image you want to open and select open. The image tool will take 30 (or less) colors from the image and display it in the tool inspector window.Back to Top |
